From Aerobics to Zumba, we’ve got your group exercise classes covered from A to Z, literally. Check out all of our class offerings and schedules – all group exercise classes are FREE for YMCA members.
- A person that is new to exercising and seeking how to become healthier.
- A person just starting to learn to exercise.
- A person accustomed to working out but needs to be motivated some of the time and knows how to work out on their own.
- A person that works out more than 5 times a week.
- An athlete or a well conditioned person.
Classes take place in the Aerobics Studio, Spin Studio, Main Gym and the Yoga/Pilates Studio.
Strength & Endurance
Challenge your muscles and get a great all over body shaping sessions with weights, exertubes, and body bars. (INTERMEDIATE)
This class is a group exercise class performed on stationary bikes. During the class, the instructor simulates hill-climbing, sprints, and races. It is a fantastic cardiovascular workout. You will be kept motivated by the instructor, the people around you, and the great music. (ALL LEVELS)
Les Mills Body Pump
This 60 minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using exercises like presses, lunges, squats and curls. It will help improve your strength. This is a great cross training class for the avid runner. (ALL LEVELS)
This is a high or low interval training with a variety of exercises using step and weights. A 30 second burst of high intensity with a twenty second break. A fun workout if you are needing something different. (ALL LEVELS)
This 30 minute class will strengthen your abs and back using a variety of safe and effective abdominal exercises. (ALL LEVELS)
This class is designed to improve the health, performace, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. This class also meets the needs of those new to yoga, as well as those seeking continued understanding of basic yoga poses. (ALL LEVELS)
A fusion of hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves create an exciting cardiovascular workout. (ALL LEVELS)
Program comprised of Resistance, Interval, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance, Diet.
All water aerobic classes take place in pool 2 (except Deep Circuit.)
This class, developed by the Arthritis Foundation, is wonderful for those needing a little TLC. It will focus on using the natural support and resistance of the water to relieve stiffness and stress associated with arthritis, chronic fatigue, or musculoskeletal conditions. (Beginner)
Splash & Tone
A great variety of strengthening, cardio, and toning exercises utilizing various aquatic equipment to give you a full and complete workout that will keep you coming back again and again! (ALL LEVELS)
This class is a slower water aerobic workout. Workout at your own pace and have fun at the same time. it will give you an option of low to high intensity exercises. (ALL LEVELS)
Enjoy the benefits of a total body sculpting class incorporating strength training and cardiovascular segments in the water. (Beginner)
Exercise in the water combing strength training and cardio in 20 to 10 seconds intervals. (ADVANCED)
Specialty classes take place in different locations. Classes are held in the Group Exercise Studio and the Spirit, Mind, and Body Room.
E-Z Does It
This class is recommended for seniors and anyone wanting a 45 minute lighter cardio exercise class. (Beginner)
Pilates (Mixed Level)
This mixed level Pilates mat class focuses on strength, precision, and flow of movement. In this small class setting, the instructor will present the exercises at multiple levels which allows students to choose to work at a beginner, intermediate or advanced pace. Students will learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core. (ALL LEVELS)
A unique class designed to gain flexibility and build strength. The moves fit perfectly to form a well rounded class of Pilates and Yoga fused together. It’s challenging and fun. It’s all about power, energy, & rhythm. This class is perfect for gaining greater stability, sculpted abs and increased core strength. (ADVANCED)
Yoga is a non-aerobic exercise class that involves a series of precise movements, breathing techniques, stretching exercises, and Yoga postures. it will help you understand the proper alignment of basic Yoga postures and breathing techniques. (Beginner)
